On the day of the big birdwatch we were inspired to collect materials in outdoor learning to create birds.We embellished our natural materials by adding pebbles and glass beads. The language and focus employed during this activity was fabulous. Look closely to see our interpretation of birds.

Welcome to Spring Term 2022!
We hope you have seen our parent overview on the website outlining our planning for the term. You will see our focus on Art, colour mixing and a focus on the famous artist Kandinsky. We will add our further art work as our theme progresses.
Design and Technology
We used our design, plan and make skills to create someChristmas themed pop up toys. Penguins popped out of the snow , Santa emerged from a chimney, elves , snowmen and reindeers filled Oak Class as we snipped, selected images, cut, measured and decorated.

Christmas Events
We hope you watched our production on line and enjoyed our outdoor , socially distanced candle light concert! oak Class were angels and sheep.​
We enjoyed a school Christmas Dinner and a socially distanced classroom party​​, we dressed up and enjoyed making our own hats.

Christmas in Oak Class
In Oak Class Christmas 2021 involved using all our creative skills to make sparkly tree decorations, decorations using natural materials, printed Christmas cards and cut and stick candle wreaths. We loved our Christmas stories too!
Outdoor Learning
We created an Oak tree in outdoor learning, we discussed the textures, shape and colours of the leaves we collected.
Lanterns are complete!
We brought our lanterns out to the front garden at school and will be proud when they light up after dark.
Creating Our Lanterns
For Ipplepen lantern parade we based our designs on the stained glass windows in St Andrew’s Church. We sandwiched tissue paper between the sheets of a lamination pouch before we strung the lights through. We thought carefully about shapes and colours, we hope you saw them outside 
Learning about verbs is great!
Grammar is exciting in Oak Class and we bring everything to life Oak Class style. Can you guess which action we are demonstrating for our partners!
